So normally I get out of my internship around ten at night.
Tonight I left at 11 because it was a VERY full night...
Apparently me being home an hour late made both my roommate Andrea and Alex (who I call when I get out) both think I was dead on the side of the road somewhere. Because I had five text messages and several missed calls on my phone when I finally got to it (we can't have phones on us in the house, since it's a residential program and the girls aren't allowed to have phones so not only is it unprofessional but it's kind of a slap in the face to them.
so yeah. I apologize to the universe for coming home late, for making Alex worry so much that he couldn't sleep (which is a big deal) and making Andrea get out of bed when I got home (also a big deal).
I left my apartment at 7:30 this morning and I didn't get home until 11. And I was in class or at internship but all for an hour and a half of it, during which I wrote a paper.
PS --> Thank you South Park for saying everything I wanted to say about the new Indiana Jones movie. I'm glad they did that episode even though the movie premiered so long ago. DON'T CARE. That movie made me want to cry. I love Indy, I love Harrison Ford but George Lucas masturbated all over that movie and got his space-nerd gizz all over it and FUCKED IT UP. THAT'S RIGHT. YOU FUCKED IT UP. YOU RAPED INDY. It was a self indulgent peice of bullshit and I'm still upset about it. The fourth movie deserves just as much consideration and depth as the first. You have to respect the character and the character's world as well as that characters roll in OUR world. You can't go "Oh, I like the cool guy with the whip but I still havn't exhausted my love for space... let's put them together because it makes me nerd-giddy and clap my hands really fast like I'm five and oopsies! awwww dammit! My barbeque sauce spilled all over my beard and comi-con t-shirt....again...."
The refrigerator... the magnetic pull that varied in intensity from scene to scene.... the dialogue and empty character development for Marion... THE FUCKING ALIENS. It makes me very sad. So thank you South Park.. for saying what needed to be said.
