Here are the pictures I promised! I DID get to play around on a pigskin BEFORE doing these tattoos. But I was literally scribbling and doing circles and trying to figure out how it worked...then I did these. Posted in order that I did them.
(
PIGGY SKIN BACK HERE!! )
Did it feel creepy at all when you started?
Also, just because the first one looks remarkably like a tattoo I did recently... no matter how simple you think the subject matter may be, unless it's something you're VERY familiar with, ALWAYS do some research. The pips on those dice are all wrong. Funny to think, I know, but anyone who knows dice would notice that in a flash, like I did (and probably point it out to the wearer of the tattoo, which generally only leads to disappointment) and this stuff is semi-permanent/can be difficult to fix. You want to make sure you get as much right as you can to make sure the client doesn't regret their choice (not just to get the tattoo, but to rely on you to do it).
It's crazy, all the random stuff you'll learn in this career.
Not saying it to bust yer balls, but to try and help.
Those last two really show improvement!
Keep up the good work!

It was extremly creepy to be tattooing pig skin. I don't really eat pork at all and i have a bit of a thing with raw meat. (I'm EXTREMLY worried about getting raw meat in my mouth or something and getting food poisoning) BUT that helped with making sure I was keeping my station exceptionally clean!
Yeah I know what you mean about the dice. I was thinking that too when i was tattooing it. (Not that it was wrong...but that I wasn't sure it was right.) But it was a random stencil from a set of flash and I kinda shrugged and said that my piggy probably didn't care that his tattoo might be a little inacurate. In reality I should have fixed it and treated Ms.Piggy exactly as I would a real customer...just for practice sake. (Like I did show Senior Piglet how everything was sanitized and packaged.)
No worries on 'bustin of the balls' it's things people just don't think about! I always look forward to critique!
Thanks for the help! :)
