One unforeseen hitch: free food at meetings. Today, my 10-12 meeting had cookies (I ate half of one cookie - could have been worse, but I am still not happy about it) and my noon meeting had sandwiches (I ate half of a veggie sandwich - again, not that bad, but not food I had planned on, as I had lunch plans immediately after). I need to anticipate when this is going to happen and bring something with me that is less dangerous, like an orange, or a diet soda.
The second unforeseen hitch is not having clean clothes to work out in. Yesterday, I put my workout clothes in the laundry (they were all stretched out and grubby and I have a hard time getting to the gym if I feel like I look bad, even if I am alone) and by the time they were done drying, it was the end of the day and I was tired. I need 2 sets of workout clothes so that I can rotate.
Otherwise, things are going ok. I'm limiting my portions pretty well, and I seem to be on track to survive this week without breaking WW. This will be especially true if I manage to exercise. Exercise provides me with a nice buffer - I tend not to include my activity in my WW record-keeping (in other words, I don't use exercise to "buy" extra points) so that in case I have drastically underestimated the cost of something, points-wise, the exercise can make up for it. Looking at the points that WW gives you for various types of exercise, I feel like they are too generous, anyway. If I ate as many points as I earned from exercise, I feel like I'd stay the same weight. Better not to risk doing all that hard work and getting no payoff. I'd rather play it safe.
