SLO....an AWESOME weekend!
This weekend was SOOOO much fun..really short but TONS of fun.
Friday I drove to Pleasanton after my last class of the day...there was kinda some drama going on in our house so it was almost like perfect timing. I got home and hung out with the fam for a while. My family is SOO funny. I love them so much, they are great! They crack me up and my mom and dad get along so well. Make me want to have that someday...it's good I can model what I want after what they have, and I am thankful for that.
After dinner I went and hung out with Kelly Hogan...man that girl is so awesome. She is so full of energy even though she is still recovering. We went out to Mimi's Cafe and saw Nick Rodriguez and Ashley Herman and some other people who graduated last year. We had dessert and it was SO good. Then I went home.
Saturday I woke up at the butt crack of dawn and drove to Marlon's house so we could leave for San Luis Obispo. It was a really pretty drive and we made it in about 3 hours. We got there and I helped him unpack and set up his room. He lives in a house, like a real house in a real neighborhood with real people living in it (not just college kids) which is kinda stange to me, but it is cool. He was the first one to move in so I didn't get to meet his roomies but it's all good. Then we went and met some of Kelly's friends and they were all really nice.
We went to downtown Pismo Beach and ate lunch at a pizza place that was less than appetizing called Clemenza's. After we went into a pet store where they had....A BABY DUNCAN!!! It was so cute I almost died! I wanted to take it home with me. Then we went to Cal Poly and he showed me around campus and it is SO pretty, I liked it alot....lots of hills and the buildings aren't as cool as Chico's but they surrounding area is gorgerous! And the school sits on top of a hill. I bought a CAL POLY sweatshirt also.
After that we drove around and took a scenic drive and then went to this beach that I have been to before and climbed this big rock and took some cool pictures. After we came back to his house and just chilled. We were lazy and were going to go to McClintocks for dinner but we were too tired. So instead we went to downtown SLO and ate at Fireside Grill and we both had chicken strips. We came back to his house and talked and then finally went to bed.
Sunday I woke up and opened my present that Marlon got me (a cheetah pillow case and a LIVESTRONG bracelet) and then packed up and drove back to P-town at 11am. Got home at 2pm and chilled with the fam for a while and then took off for Chico and got here around 7:30pm. Had to write a speech and settle some drama but it all turned out okay.
Man, what a GREAT weekend! I was just so HAPPY the whole time (minus the mini-drama) but it was just really fun and relaxing. Plus I love to drive and sing in the car and I got 9 hours of that!! YAY. Well I am tired and must get some sleep. GOOD NIGHT!
