Writer's Block: Who was your first crush? What were they like?
OMG! I haven't thought of Geoff Parr in years.
He was blonde, blue eyes, a little pudgy, so so cute and we were all of eight years old.
I can remember my friend and I cornering him in the classroom one day and telling him he couldn't leave until he gave is each a kiss - on the lips!!! LOL
I must have done something right that day, he asked me to come and play at his house later that day, after school and we sat in the big oak tree in the corner of his garden, counted cars that drove by, and watched people leaving and entering the pub across the road, and snuck in the occasional kiss.
I'm in my forties now and it still makes me laugh. These days I could have been up for sexual harassment - kids in schools today would never get away with something like that.
Went back to Rainhill in '93 and tried to look Geoff up, but his family had sold the house/betting shop (or whatever it was. Someone told me it was a betting shop, but I don't remember who?)
