Less than four weeks,
and I'll be almost toothless... almost. I had one offending tooth removed today, and another twelve are being removed on the 6th October. Apparently I'll still have four teeth in the bottom jaw, to anchor the plate to - but the upper teeth will all be gone and I'll have four months - yep F O U R months with no teeth. Gotta lose some weight - right? As one of my friends commented, at least I'll blend in with the ferals around here. Don't think I should boast about that, though. :o\
I travelled by public transport, figuring it'd be cheaper than driving, parking and travelling by train and tram. Didn't count on company on the way up - and talkative company too.
Started at the bus stop - he chatted on inanely about everything, including about his work and his daughters with Safeway. Poor bugger, didn't realise most of what he said, I knew to be bullshit - since I too had worked for Safeway. *sighs*
Then on the way up to Frankston, he continued with the 'big I am' thing, near drove me nuts. Was grateful to finally arrive at Frankston, so I could escape him. On the bonus side, for some reason the trip from Mornington to Frankston was free. *shrugs*
Travel to the city was as per usual, spent the time playing Sudoku so the trip passed quickly. Dentist was fun... NOT. Well, he wasnt bad looking eye candy and had a sense of humour, so I suppose that counts for something. LOL
Then - arriving back in Frankston, and I'm sitting at the bus terminal waiting for the Mornington bus to arrive, when I hear, "Are you stalking me?" and a gruff laugh. Yep - you guessed it, Mr "I am" from the trip up. What is the chance we'd travel up and back together?? I gave a half hearted laugh and returned to the Sudoku. Yeah, ignorant bitch that I am.
I think I lifted my head from Sudoku maybe five times for the whole trip back. Also made sure he was passed the end of the court before I actually crossed the road to my place.
Can't be too careful.
Anyway, I have October 6th to look forward to. Lucky me.
