Retaining all emotion until it erupts into an ulcer is a bad idea. Fortunately for me, mine healed without the assistance of doctors. Go me.
I don't think I really want to go to grad school, but I see it as an escape from a jobless life. Not however, an escape from reality, as we all know bills are very real and suck very much.
Being responsible sucks because people who are terribly irresponsible and incapable of managing their own time and getting their shit together in life tend to take advantage of your willingness to like and want to help everyone.
Pets are awesome, but its very scary when they're sick. One also finds oneself with a greater desire to be at home to cuddle and mother said pet.
Special Collections employment is something like a game of Russian Rullett. On any given day one may either freeze to death or die of boredom. Sometimes both.
No matter how few classes one takes, homework aways seems to be overwhelming and no matter much one works their ass off, grades seem to be constantly B's.
Life can be very simple, but people tend to make most things painfully complicated.
Cookies are the best thing ever. Next to bread, and followed by sandwiches.
Vacations are necessary to maintain sanity, doesn't matter where it is. The important thing, is to disconnect from ones world and enter another for just a little while. However, doing so under the influence of drugs and or alcohol can lead to very unfortunate and painful consequences, not generally recommended. If someone calls you an 'escapist', throw a large book at said persons head and continue escaping into whatever the hell you want.
Most professors are pretentious bastards, the best way to deal with them is to smile and nod while plotting written revenge in the form of end the quarter reviews. Trust me, it works.
Long, hard work outs really do feel good in the end. Especially hours of biking around the area, even though it hurts a lot and you constantly question why the hell you blew off writing a paper for this shit.
Lastly, procrastinating one's Civil War reading in favor of posting a list of really useless tidbits is fun, but keep in mind the enormous amount of work to be made up the next day. Or maybe the next... right, homework time. no really, I'm going...
