"On Sunday May 7, I will be joining more than 6,000 other walkers in the 2006 MS Walk to benefit the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
I am asking for your help in my endeavor. By making a pledge on my behalf, you will aid research efforts to find a cure for MS, and help the Chapter provide services to more than 8,000 families in Upstate New York and over 300,000 families in the United States.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease of the central nervous system that strikes young adults. MS can cause blurred vision and blindness, slurred speech, loss of balance and coordination, crippling, and even complete paralysis. The cause and cure of MS are not known. However, there is hope through research funded by the National MS Society."
