Serious Post
As my time in the military grows short (as of today 105 days left or 74 working days), I realize that the chances of me coming back to El Paso in my life time is very slim. This may sound unreasonable (and it is), let me guys ask you all a question. My last four day holiday weekend is coming up and it just so happens to fall on my birthday. The reason why it's going to be my last four day weekend holiday is because the next holiday will be Memorial Day (I'll be out by then).
For that reason, this will probably be my last chance to visit Carlsbad Caverns. I visited it once 3 years ago but that was with a couple of military co-workers. So, I'm going to go there one more time before I get out of the army. Bob will be tagging along with me but I think it would be more fun if more people came along too. The caverns themselves are beautiful and it's only an hour or two drive from El Paso.
In other words, what I'm trying to ask if anybody is willing to come down to El Paso and visit me. El Paso isn't such a great place but it would be nice for a change if somebody actually came down here during my last few months I have in the military. Of course, regardless if anybody comes or not, I will be going to Carlsbad no matter what. I do have an apartment down here, so if you're worried about lodging, you're covered. Like I said, I realize this post is unreasonable and very short notice, so if you can't/don't want to come, then that's fine. I fully understand.
But still, it would be nice.
