I was so happy to see all those people getting married in SF today. I was grinning like an idiot in the computer lab. Look at them, so happy and full of love. How could people look at that and still deny them the right to marriage? Do what you like in your church but why not make this legal huh?
For people who argue that it is against religion: well, so was inter-racial marriage not too long ago.
It was also against God's will for women to have the right to vote, seeing as men are the dominant sex according to Genesis.
It was also un-Christian to loan money and expect to be repaid let alone charge interest. Interesting enough this is why Banking (esp. in Europe) is long assosciated with Jews - it was one of the few things they were allowed to do.
Desegregated schools were supposedly going to corrupt America's (in particular white America's) youth.
Rock and Roll was supposedly a Communist plot, and the Black man's way of corrupting the purity of white youth.
I could go on about all the things that were considered un-Christian that are mainstream now and the world still hasn't ended because of them, but what would be the point? the only people who read this are my friends which for the most part are liberal.
