OF COURSE, THERE WILL BE ONE! What did you think?

I'm right now deciding whether to do a themed one or go back to the roots, so to speak, and have a free for all.

What are your thoughts?

ETA:
Ha! J/k. Don't give a toss about your opinion. We'll do "Roman Noir".

I like the themes because it helps spark ideas and I love seeing all the different interpretations... But if everyone else wants to go back to free-for-all, what about us all sharing some optional prompts or ideas?

I agree with that. Also you know my idea re: Letters From Beyond The Grave.

Also, chat, anyone?

Sorry, it wouldn't be Letters (though one might possibly do letters with the theme I've chosen).

Re. chat: Give me 30 mins. Have to run to the supermarket first.

Okily-dokily!

And no worries re: Letters, as I said, it was only an idea and only Shem had a decent plotbunny for it anyway ;-)

What is roman noir?

For some reason I have the guy from days of our lies in my head: Roman Brady

Sure that's not what you meant

For Roman Noir think hard-boiled detective fiction. Very popular in the U.S. of the 1920s/30s. Think Dashiel Hammet and Raymond Chandler. Think The Maltese Falcon. Think Pulp Fiction. Think Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Think Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Okay, these are Film Noir but ... *shrugs* works for me as well.

Sounds great to me! I had a splinter of an idea in my head earlier today, and I think I can use it with this theme. In fact, I know I can! Thanks!

(It involves Lady Bertram, actually, so yay, a MP story, too!)

If I may make a suggestion, I think it'd be nice if you posted an invitation to DWG's Tea Room so that others who might wish to participate will have an opportunity to do so and so that others who are unfamiliar with the event won't think it's an outpouring of spam (as someone thought initially last year).

Funny thing is I had already thought about advertising the event this year. :)
