If  the sheer mention of Stargate Atlantis makes you feel homicidal right about now, please move along:)

A while ago I said that I'd post some of the SGA artwork I'd already started when I eventually finished it.
This piece was actually an idea for a story where Rodney and John have their first time together the night before John goes on a dangerous ( Read more... )

Oh! That's lovely. I particularly like the expression on Rodney's face. It almost tells the story you didn't write.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like it:)

I've been looking at some of your portrait work too, it's beautifully done!

Thanks, I'm glad you've liked my drawings, too. I haven't graduated to color, yet. Maybe someday. :)

Coloured pencil isn't really much of a leap from graphite, and you use it in much the same way. I was only thinking recently that I can't remember last time I used good old fashioned graphite, and maybe I should use it more often, it demands much more control and discipline than colour does.
Me, I'm just getting old and lazy lol!

I've illustrated lots of fandoms but I find the characters in SGA very challenging, and quite difficult. I admire your talent in capturing them so well.

Hmm, not so different? That's reassuring. Maybe after I've explored charcoal a bit I'll give colored pencils a whirl. I'm not young, and I've been called lazy more than once, myself. :)

Since I've never drawn in a fandom before, I didn't know the SGA characters were particularly hard, but you're not the first talented artist I've heard say that. Ignorance is apparently bliss for me. ::g::

But you've done an excellent job here, particularly with Rodney. You've got that expression of his nailed.
