Soundtrack game addendum

Okay, now I'm just procrastinating ;)

This is related to my community lyricplay. I didn't want to post it there since it's not strictly game related, but I think most if not all of the people in the comm are on my friends list so I'm posting it here instead. Just ignore me if you don't care :)

Because I took the quotes from scenes in the various movies/TV shows, I thought it might be cool to see if I could find those scenes online somewhere. Sometimes I just found tangentially related things {g}. Here's what I found:

  • The scene from which I took the Firefly hint is here. It's a funny scene from a funny show.
  • For the FoLCs in this community, there used to be an L&C music video for It Is You (I Have Loved), but now the link doesn't seem to work. If anyone's curious, I have the file saved someplace.
  • You find the weirdest stuff on YouTube... Put in Oo-De-Lally (from Robin Hood) and find clips of the Disney movie in Danish and Polish, and fan videos for everything from House to Doctor Who.
  • You can also find the Beauty and the Beast(TV) theme song on YouTube. If you like(d) this show, they've just released it on DVD for the first time. Also, there's a CD of music and poetry available. I was really too little when the show first aired, but I've seen most of the episodes now and it really was lovely.
  • Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas
  • When You're Alone from Hook... And the scene from which I stole the second hint. I love this movie so much. Dustin Hoffman will always be James Hook to me. And John Williams' Hook theme rocks

    "Someone give me a hand?"
    "I already have."

    Sigh... Love...
  • You Don't Own Me from First Wives' Club... Makes me want to go watch that movie now.
  • I wasn't able to find the Storybook Love montage from Princess Bride, but I did find a Clark/Chloe Smallville video for this song.
  • The Rainbow Connection! (How can no one have known this song?! This is the movie that brought you a muppet on a bicycle! And consider the fact that Jim Henson spent an entire day underwater in a 50-gallon steel drum to film this!)
  • The Fifth Element:"Multipass."
    Or, the Diva Dance.
  • Phenomenon: Change the World music video by Eric Clapton.
  • Beauty and the Beast: Belle goes to the West Wing. I love the music here.
  • Bridget Jones's Diary: All By Myself. This still cracks me up in a sad, empathetic way ;)
  • Superman Returns: "How could you leave us like that?" I love the colors, the cinematography, the music here. The more times I see this movie the more I like it.
And in the process of searching for that clip, I found this: a remix of the L&C opening/theme song with footage from Superman Returns.
