You'll have to let me know what you think. I read it briefly on Wednesday but I had a paper to write, and then Thursday I came home and haven't had a chance to look at it in great detail. I'm still not pleased with the art-- Goliath has the weirdest face in some of the panels-- but I'm just excited the dumb thing is finally out...
Finally got to reading it today. Sorry to say I was kind of disappointed. The plot is the same as the ep, more or less, but the art took a noticable downturn. It's more more cartoonish. Less detail. Medicore flow/sequencing, made worse by the intercutting. It was just... poorly translated.
And the fact that it's so late doesn't bode well. They say the next issue should be out on time, but I'm worried that between the delay and the art, they lost a fair number of readers already.
But... Issue 3 starts new material. If it gets out on time, and has a good plot, and has at least decent art... things could work out. We'll have to see.
A fan movement (actively spreading the word to new fans, writing letters to local comic shops, encouraging them to stock it, sending them fan-made flyers to put up, etc) could make it all work. We saved Spider-Girl. It can make a big difference, if you get enough dedicated people behind it.

What'd you make of the issue?
