Update list
1) I'm so tired.
2) I got paid today. Over $300! YAY! I should earn about $1,400 this summer, which is $1,000 for Fall semester and $400 to play with before then. Hopefully I won't spend $400 this summer (especially since working overnights means I don't see people or go out very often) but will still spend what I want to. I've got my eye on a few DVDs. And a pair on shoes that's on clearance. And some pretty clothes. :3 Not to mention....
3) I noticed something awesome in the Electronics section (I work overnights at a department store): A personal CD player shaped like Jack's compass! I believe demonqueen666 has one? It looks awesome. It costs $25. I have an employee discount. Conclusion: totally buying it. The fact that I already have a perfectly good CD player that I use far less often than my tiny mp3 player is completely irrelevant.
4) I find the face cards of my Pirates card deck to be very inappropriate. They are as follows: Jack is King, Elizabeth is Queen, and Will is Jack. Obviously AWE dictates the face cards should be: Elizabeth as King, Will as Queen, and Jack as, well, Jack. Also, the Aces are hella-scary drawings of Davy Jones, and tentacles feature prominently on all the numbered cards. They couldn't have used swords and ships or, you know, the heart? There is a gray Aztec coin in the background though, so that's nice. Even nicer would've been someone else as the Aces. Someone who is.... Awesome, Attractive, Arrogant, Auspicious, Able, Aggressive and, you know, an Admiral?
Even cuter, you could've had the suits apply to different groups: the Navy/EITC is spades, the "heroes" are hearts, Barbossa's peeps are clubs, and Tia Dalma, Davy Jones, and his crew are diamonds. Murtogg&Mullroy and Ragetti&Pintel would be sixes and sevens (because they're always in sixes and sevens, get it? They're chaotic?). Beckett would be King and James would be his Queen (thereby linking him with Will, since they're so alike); Governour Swann gets to be the Jack, or maybe that goes to Mercer. Pintel and Gibbs get the same number (in clubs and hearts, respectively) because they both fill the role of storyteller/exposition. Anamaria would be there, probably the same number as Gilette.
I could go one for a while longer, but I think it's already obvious that if I had designed this set of cards, it would be way cooler.
5) I still want the Isla Cruces playset, but I'm not willing to pay full price for it. Maybe prices have gone down since DMC came out? I'll have to swing by Toys R Us and see.
6) There are a ton of beach towels and blankets with Jack on them. Sadly, none with Norrington. I would be SO THERE! I try to console myself by saying that Barbossa is similarly ignored by the masses, but funnily enough, that doesn't make me feel any better.
7) All of this shall have to wait 25 1/2 more hours. Stupid bank, closed on weekends!
