Picspam: German Shepherds and One-Eyed Dogs

For the benefit of your ~mind's eye when reading about Naja, Captain Pike's fantabulous dog.

I'll post the one-eyed pics first, so if you think it'll bother you, you can skip this cut altogether and go directly to the German Shepherds. However, none of these pics are gory! There are all of happy, fully-healed dogs. The wounds themselves are not ( Read more... )

Much less disturbing than I imagined, given that practically all my experience with lack-of-eyes comes from Once Upon a Time in Mexico. These do indeed look like perfectly happy, fully-healed dogs.

German Shepherds are German-Shepherdy!

*nodnod* I was really nervous when I first Googled "one-eyed dog" but really, it's no big deal! Although I *am* tempted to photoshop in some of Agent Sands' delicate trickles of blood. :P

I DIDN'T KNOW THEY HAD SUCH BIG EARS, DID YOU? And they're supposed to be ~~super smart (about the same level as Border Collies, runner-up to Poodles) and need *stern commands* and you know how Ramble!Pike likes sternly commanding super smart people. :)

You know, Jim is full of blood - I'm sure he would be happy to donate some to such a noble cause. No need to use Naja's.

I so did. Well, I never thought about ear-size of German Shepherds (Big! Pointy!), but I knew they looked like that. Not surprised about smarts - police dogs, after all. Would have to be.

and you know how Ramble!Pike likes sternly commanding super smart people.

FORTUNATELY FOR PRACTICALLY THE ENTIRE CREW OF THE ENTERPRISE, YES :P

...you know, I'm sort of glad that Jim is fictional, so you can't get your claws into him! But you're right, of course, that I would *never* use Naja's blood. The poor thing has suffered enough already. :(

AHAHAHA I was thinking of Jim, specifically, but you're right that they are all super smart and need to be sternly commanded! Which is why Pike is there, commanding them, WHEELCHAIR BE DAMNED.

Not that I think the movie ending was a load of horse manure, or anything.

:)

I'd never really hurt him. I just... wish to watch as the natural consequences of his actions happen to him, liberally spiced with poetic justice and slathered in irony. Natural consequences are natural and therefore good for him (high in fibre!), and with a mental voice like that he deserves the irony ( ... )

BB, if you want Jim to get whomped just let me know! I can probably write some whomp for you. Though if you want a side dish of poetic justice and irony I'll probably need some specifications. Otherwise I just think of Kirk/Uhura where Uhura is exactly as mean as he deserves. >>

Jim will be an excellent captain! And he's currently an excellent commander! (I need to write some competent!Jim fic. It's been on my list for a while.) My reasoning is that Jim is full of awesome talent and potential, but he's still a noob, and the military is not a good place for putting noobs in charge. It's not fair to them (which I hope the rubble fic adequately expressed) or the people beneath them, and can be fatal. There was a TOS episode, actually, about how a wee Lt. Kirk froze on an away mission because he was inexperienced ( ... )
