Because I can't use the Spock Smash icon every time I talk about the guy. It is illogical.
Therefore, at some point over the past week I procrastinated on fic by seeking out new lifeforms and civilizations icons. I also procrastinated by watching the ST movies and observations are thus (in the order that I watched):
ST II: The Wrath of Khan -- WTF is up with the genesis matrix? Preposterous. For a planet to sustain life as we know it, it needs to be geologically active which means (generally) a dynamic molten core which creates a magnetosphere and plate tectonics. FURTHERMORE, life as we know it depends on a small group of certain elements and if they are not present you can't just pull them out of your ass. Unless you're a star, of course, because stars are awesome that way. But besides that, I lol'd so much at Spock nerve-gripping Bones. IT JUST MAKES ME HAPPY WHEN MCCOY IS OVERPOWERED, OK, DON'T JUDGE ME and i promise not to judge you if you write fic of it for me or idk, request it as a prompt.
ST III: The Search for Spock -- Spock is a Jedi master, is totally hot as a teenager, and totally did the finger-nasty with Saavik. Also, I am SO HAPPY they got the same guy to play Sarek idk I just like him, okay. And lol, Christopher Lloyd. "Don't call me tiny." FEISTY SULU! Uhura, yes I am SURE you will have that sweet young thang eating out of the palm of your hand once you let him out of the closet. And need I even mention my feelings about Bones carrying around Spock's katra and intermittently channeling him in conversation? Hint: it's a cross between "squee" and "n'awwww."
ST I: The Motion Picture -- WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME EVERYONE WAS SO HOT IN THIS. I mean goddamn. True, the new uniforms look a little like aprons and Kirk looks like he's captaining a yacht instead of a starship, but his face is trim and looking gooooood and UHURA HAS BOOBIES and oh my gaaaawd Bones is swank, y'all, lookit that skinny thang. Mmph. No wonder he kept looking at Kirk like he was waiting for them to make out. And Spock. Spock. The black cloak and leggings ensemble. I DIG IT, BB. Even the New Girl was gorgeous, although I would have liked a personality to go with that face. But hey it's totally cool if she gets reprogrammed by an alien so long as the body sticks around because that's the only thing that matters in a woman, amirite?
Moving on! I also avoided fic by drawing Pike!Sis. Not finished, though; she's bald and in her underwear. BUT she has freckles and that's the important part. Anyone want thumbnails?
I have been working on fic here and there, though. Most progress was done on Chaos' request for Uhura whipping Kirk. I looked over the rubblefic I started a year ago off a request from Muppet; I have a better idea how to fit it into Ramble!verse so keep an eye out. I'm waffling on whether not to revise one of the Stolen Kisses before posting it. The Lady!Pike/Winona is coming along; I made progress by deleting 1,000+ words. It had to be done, bbs. :/ I'm considering scrapping the lemonfic completely and just posting what I have. Maybe I'll do it under flock, just in case the comments help me hash out what the problem is?
