My cell phone doesn't ring that often; mostly 'cause not many people have my number, and I have a landline as my main phone. But once in a while it does; unless I've asked someone to call me on my cell, it's usually a wrong number.
Earlier this evening, it did ring. The phone was in my purse on the other side of the room from where I was watching tv, so it may have rung for a few seconds before I heard it. When I did answer, the conversation went something like this:
Me: Hello.
Guy on other end: Hey airhead!
Me (calmly replying): I think you have the wrong number.
Guy: oh sorry.
He then hung up. Feel free to LOL. I did think it was kinda funny.
I wonder how the other guy felt when, after he called me "airhead", he realized he had the wrong number. Somehow, I think he may be a bit more careful about how he greets people on the phone; at least until he's sure he has the right person.
Then again, maybe not.
