“So what happened with the Gentlemen?” Kaylee asked.
“Buffy managed to defeat them but Tara and I were safe together after that spell. But that was the start… the start of the friendship, the start of the relationship… the start of my downfall; only I didn’t know that of course.”
She thought about how to approach all that without breaking down, or having the magic begin to take control again. Kaylee could see her taking big breathes, so she waited, knowing that she would touch on what she meant by downfall.
“Tara had been studying magic her whole life, and in me she saw a lot of potential. So to begin with, we looked into magic together… then Oz came back and I had to decide whether I wanted him back or not. I chose Tara.”
