Title: The Seminar

Angela was waiting by the side of the stage after Abby had presented her session. The Goth had done a fantastic job in promoting the benefits of scent DNA in crime scene investigations and Angela had heard many murmurs in Abby's favour. But it wasn't just Abby promoting it without considering the downs to the process. She had explained everything objectively.
"Wow Abs," Angela said as she came over. "That was very impressive!"
"Thanks Ang," she replied. She liked the fact they had hit it off very quickly. To Abby, Angela reminded her a little of Kate. Fairly professional but likely to surprise you.
"Still feel like heading out?"
"My room first, I hate this suit!"
Angela looked at her again and laughed. Abby was standing there very uncomfortably in a two piece suit with sensible high heels. It was so very different to her appearance the night before. With that the two girls headed to the lifts, comparing notes on different cases.
"Weirdest case?" Angela asked.
"Meat puzzle," Abby said after a moment. "Bodies found inside a barrel, all mutilated... turns out they were people who worked on a case with our ME. Ducky, our ME, was kidnapped and was going to be the next victim. Yours?"
"Identifying a body that had been dissolved in acid in a bathtub. It had turned out to be a guy with 2 wives with kids, and a pregnant girlfriend. Guy was murdered, then made to look like a suicide, then made to look like a murder."
"People seriously are freaks," Abby surmised.
"So true."
"Wait here a moment, I'll be back soon," Abby said as she let them into her room. She ducked off into her suite's bedroom and left Angela in the living area. Angela sat down to wait for her new friend, as she knew how long it could take to make one's self to feel comfortable.

"That's better!" Abby said with a bright smile as she walked out of the room. She was now decked out in a black peasant style top, a black and white striped skirt with leather arm cuffs, a choker and platform, knee high boots. Her hair was back in her pigtails.
"Definitely more you," Angela agreed. "So where to? I need to be back for the session at 2."
"I know this awesome store down the road; you would be perfect for their clothing!" Abby said with a cheeky grin.
"Sounds good, lead the way," Angela agreed.
They headed off down the street towards the store Abby wanted to visit. Although Angela knew that it may not be her regular taste in clothes, she knew not to rule it out too quickly.

At 2, Angela and Abby found themselves receiving odd looks as they arrived to listen to the seminar. Abby was used to it, having put up with people's unfair judgement based on appearances but Angela wasn't quite so used to it. She knew why people were looking at her as Abby had convinced her to buy a dark purple bodice and a long black skirt which she was currently wearing along with black lipstick. Angela had agreed all too readily after trying it on as she knew Jack would love to see her in it.
"Are people always like this?" she whispered.
"Yep."
"Oh well."
The speaker got up on stage and Angela readied herself to make notes for Brennan. The Forensic Anthropologist who the seminar had gotten was a bit older to Brennan but was rather similar in the way she spoke. Yet she was able to respond slightly more warmly than Brennan would have, as she seemed a little bit more updated on pop culture than Brennan.
"Is she as good as your boss?" Abby whispered.
"Tempe's better," Angela replied. "And not because she's my boss. She can deduct a lot more from the bones than what is being covered here."
Abby nodded in understanding and the two girls went back to listening.

"Gibbs," Abby whinged, making his name sound like it was six syllables. "Of course I am looking after myself."
Angela laughed at Abby, she was sounding so upset that her boss was checking in with her but was smiling. It looked like she had a fantastic relationship with her boss, something for most part Angela could agree with. She considered Brennan her boss, even though Cam and Dr Goodman technically were.
When Abby hung up the phone, she spun round and grabbed a camera. She quickly took a photo of Angela and then cracked up laughing.
"What's going on?" Angela asked curiously.
"Just thinking what DiNozzo will think when he sees you on film," Abby grinned wickedly.
"That’s Tony right? I take it you will just happen to forget to fully delete all the images off the camera once you've transferred them to the computer?"
"Right in one. But I was also thinking, feel like giving your boy a sneak peak?" she raised her eyebrows suggestively as she asked.
"Why do I think that it will also happen to be the one Tony sees?" Angela laughed.
"Cause it will be..." Abby laughed as well. "I'm evil remember."
"I'm in."
She started posing for a few photos as Abby happily snapped away. Then after they transferred the photos to the computer, they worked out which would remain on the camera and would also be emailed to Jack. After saying goodnight to Abby, Angela headed back to her room to await Jack's call. She knew it wouldn't take him long to see the photo and call to ask her about it.

Later that night Angela woke up with a fright and was trying hard not to scream. Someone else was in her hotel suite, she could hear them walking in the other room and occasionally bumping into things. She quietly got out of bed, grabbed her cell phone and crept to the bathroom. Locking the door she quickly dialled the first person she could think of.
“Abby, I need help.”
