Another addition to my HBP-reviewing.

I'll start out by reminding everyone that I've stopped expecting perfection in the HP movies since, for one reason or another, a vast amount of people are going to be displeased with whatever the directors decide to do. So I figure I might as well do my best to reconcile myself with what they do.

That being said, I'd like to share my thoughts on the added scene (at the Burrow). It was nice for cinematic effect, but extra time is extremely hard to come by in these films, and I think those few minutes would've been much better served with another memory or two. The scene at the Burrow left a few holes that didn't make sense - for instance, after Tonks and Lupin are finally all "SOMETHING IS AFOOT!" "MY MULLET SENSES IT AS WELL!" they don't even make an attempt to go through the fire to get to Harry. Yet, somehow, a gaping hole in the fire miraculously appears long enough for Ginny to run through, then immediately closes to keep Tonks and Lupin out. Not only that, but the Burrow BURNED DOWN. So the Weasleys are, presumably, homeless, but do they seem at all concerned with that when they get back to school? Nope. Makes no sense.

As for the Death Eaters' presence at Hogwarts, despite the fact that the battle had been removed...OBVIOUSLY they were there for moral support. :p 'Cause y'know Draco could never do his job right without Bellatrix kissing his ear - even if she is his aunt. No matter that he ended up failing anyway. Naturally Snape is just so ~amazing that he took care of it all on his own. "It's...ovahhh..."

There really was no explanation of the Half-Blood Prince thing - we never found out he wasn't being arrogant, but using his mother's maiden name; we never found out much about the book at all other than "hai lol this gets u magikal potion ~skillz" and oh, by the way, watch out for random spells as they could very well kill your classmates.

I think this movie's performances have improved exponentially since the last movie - ESPECIALLY Tom Felton's. He did REMARKABLY well. He's so wonderful at portraying Draco, even though the two of them are nothing alike. And Helena Bonham Carter is one of my favorite actresses ever. She's just amazing. In everything. Haha.
