Dusting Off My LJ
So... It's been a while. I also am so behind on my F-List that it isn't even funny. Please drop me a comment if there is something I should absolutely see that has been posted in the last 3 weeks or so.
My hiatus started when I went to St. Louis for my niece's gymnastics meet (in which she got 1st all around for her age group!) at the end of January and then I got sick. I lost my voice and coughed up both lungs repeatedly. I wonder how I can still breathe actually. I still have a bit of a cough going on and I'm tired of it lingering.
In other news, yesterday we got hit with our third largest single day snow fall in recorded weather history for our town (1st was Christmas 2004 and 2nd was back in 1978). We ended up with 11-12" and it has shut most everything down. Today is my second day at home and I'm not really sure how I will get the car out to the main road from the driveway and alley behind our house. I will attempt it tomorrow I think when hopefully the main roads will be a little more clear. What's not helping is the below 0 temps that have set in meaning nothing is melting anytime soon. Damn groundhog.
The roomie and I took a walk yesterday and saw several stuck cars and helped push one we were close enough to. Definitely don't want to be one of them.
