The 2009 Ice Storm. This storm is what put ice accumulation in a tie with tornadoes for the natural disasters I fear. These pictures were taken by the apartment I lived in at the time. Even though I've moved to a house, I'm still less than half a mile from this spot and on the same side of the street. The second picture shows what finally caused me to lose power the night of the storm. That actually laid in that spot on the side of the street for about 3-4 weeks before it was finally cleaned up.
