"I called him Autopsy Gremlin when he first joined us. I didn't want to get to know him at first; after all he wasn't supposed to stay. He was just supposed to be a temporary replacement for another co-worker. But stay he did. And now, eight years later, I don't won't him to leave. None of us do."
"I didn't really get to know him at first, but then something changed and he because a shoulder of support to me when I desperately needed it. He helped me through some tough times and I'd like to think I helped him too."
"It was the little things that made him special. His attempts to imitate Ducky. When he finally lost some of his fear about talking to Gibbs. Having silent standoffs with Tim over Abby back in the days before Breena came along. He shared a love of the piano with Ziva. And for me he was a confident when I needed one."
"As a team, we deal with death a lot, he more so than others. But it is hard to deal with it when there is no one to blame. Knowing him, he wouldn't want us to dwell on the negative. He'd want us to go on with our lives as normal, but hold the good times in our minds for those rainy days."
"And Breena, I can say this with surety of knowing him for eight years: Even though you didn't get the chance to say 'I do,' he was your husband in his heart and soul. Jimmy Palmer will always be there for you."

Damn it! I should've read this one first because now I'm in desperate need of something light and fluffy and funny, but I already read the other fills. *wails*
This is heart-breaking and made me tear up big time. *sniffles* Beautifully done. And a wonderful eulogy. *sniffles some more*

And then I had that first line about giving the eulogy instead of the best man speech and Tony was all upset...
