I wish people would stop using 'I didn't know that was a rule!' as an excuse to get out of trouble. In what world is that a good excuse? Especially when the rules are right there and easy to find? But I seriously hear this so often.
'Did you know you were going 100 MPH in a 30 MPH zone, sir?'
'Oh well I didn't know speeding was against the law, officer!'
'Oh ok well on your way then.'
Said nobody ever.
