kco121 (6:30:10 PM): you should write a live journal about me

^ so those words were uttered to me today but my good friend kathleen histen elizabeth connolly of braintree massachusetts, and being that i am a lovely, obliging girl, i decided to do just that.

kathleen connolly and i met in mrs. cahill's 9th grade college algebra class after I got bumped from level 1 all the way to level 3 math in the matter of about 2 weeks. i originally sat with liz mcgourty and her and i pretty much only talked to each other. then this girl kathleen joined the class, and attempted as so many have before her, to latch on to me and become friends. i originally resisted, being that i was still a little bit skeptical about those from the east side. (im sorry but times were different) eventually, we discovered that kathleens grandmother lived on my street and i knew her quite well. thats how it all started, kathleen commented one day that she would be heading to her grandmothers house after school and that we should walk together. i of course agreed seeing that i dreaded walking home alone out of fear that i would become the subject of an unsolved mysteries episode.

so kathleen and i forged a friendship from there. it started slowly with the typical trips to the plaza and the movies and eventually i was invited over to 552 union and met . . the connolly clan! and boy what an expirience that was. i met the now infamous rita, steven and of course, last but certainly not least, really really really really not least . .kathleens brother kevin. haha then it was my 9th grade birthday party (sweeeeeet jesus) where kathleen gave me the sarcasm ball, probably the worst gift ever, but i smiled like a true sport and it is our number 1 joke to this day. after that i started going with kathleen and steven to the knights of colombus dances and selling drinks to the scantilly clad middle schoolers who attend such functions.

and . . 4 years, 10 knights dances, a few scummy guys, and lord only knows how many fights and tifts later we are still friends.

so there you go kathleen.
