He’s crystalline beauty in the middle of a crowded subway, all (faked) smiles and (shaking) hands clutching at a backpack - the single spot of red against his white clothes.
Hey, and you’re watching him before you have the chance to bite back on the curiosity, when you wonder why his eyes fade the way they do. He looks up and that’s all it takes - one glance and you’re tangled, and Hi, I want to meet you.
Maybe he’s caught on you the same way you’re caged to him, because he’s making his way down the corridor (careful, almost tripped there) and then he’s sitting on the bench next to you and “Hi.”
“Hi.” So you don’t know his name because in a flurry of motion and too many footsteps the tram arrives; he’s gone. You’re thinking you should just forget - but your hand moves and touches cloth, something red and soft and oh, oh his backpack.
Okay, so now you have a duty. You’ll get the bag back to him - learn his name.
