Horse Feathers Chapter 17 and First Interview!

Jul 19, 2013 23:38

I woke up to the most terrible smell this morning. We couldn't figure out what it was, so I took my nephew out for breakfast, while my dad tried to track it down and vent the house.

When we got back a couple hours later, the smell had mostly been cleared out. I think it may have been a really potent skunk, but I can't begin to fathom how it got "in" the house, unless it managed to bullseye the chimney vent with it's spray (which would be quite a trick...but not impossible.) Then I spent most of the day adding designs to new merchandise on cafepress, like this laptop Sleeve:

The Design is called "The Queen".  I've been working on this whole surrealist court series, but the issues with my wacom tablet slowed me down.  Since it's working again, I hope to have "The Prince" done soon.  He's been a work in progress for far too long.

In other news, my first blog interview is now live: Interview With Author Iscah on Jemsbooks.

I mention metafiction and surrealist allegory...

On that note, Chapter 17 of Horse Feather's is up!

Lastly, I've started writing fan fiction again. Normally not something I'd mention on this blog, but this one is um "professional" fan fiction. Pretty Little Liars is supposed to be open for exploitation on Kindle Worlds. The title popped into my head the other day. The plot has been slowly forming, and last night I started writing out of self defense. I think I'll keep the title secret until it's a little closer to done, but I'd love a beta reader who actually watches the show.  I'm hoping this will be fairly short.

horse feathers, pretty little liars, interview, design work
