Nom and Babble
You know what happens whenever I try to do pirate-talk? I remember that scene in PotC with Will earnestly shouting "Avast!" and Jack's disgust and the urge just shrivels up and dies. I'm being oppressed by a fictional character! Aarrrrgh. And avast!
In other news, someone has been very kind to me and nominated me for some awards. Over at the Sunny D Awards, both Survivors and Immortal Convergence are up in a couple different catagories. I'm all kinds of flattered and please and if you're reading this, thank you very much!
My sister's puppy got into the bag of her food and went on to eat so much she looked like a barrel. A furry, intensely uncomfortable barrel. She spent the rest of the night and day after throwing up and filling the back yard with poo. Staring into her eyes, there was no doggy remorse. No learning. She'll do it again in a heartbeat. Such a good thing she's cute.
I have discovered the secret to having a good day. I put some variation of 'be awesome' on my to do list. I swear it helps. kamadu can make fun of me all she likes. I bet she'll do it in secret.
I went to go see Little Miss Sunshine and nearly hurt myself laughing. Everyone in the movie was great.
My boss was handing out gift cards to employees (he does it randomly sometimes). I could hear him asking "Olive Garden? Harkins? Chilis?" out in the main area. When he walked into my office, he just handed me a Starbucks card and left. He knows me :)
I stepped on a gecko over the weekend. We both shrieked and ran in opposite directions and did little dances of disgust. I went back to check on him and he was alive. Horrified, but alive. Just like me!
