There currently is a tempest in a teapot about the sale of real fur at furry conventions.

To sum it up, a few people have become vocal about a long time dealer at west coast conventions selling real fur tails and pelts. The dealer in question, Cal Cotton, obtains these from humane sources and is a furrier for movie productions as well.

I personally do not see any need for myself to buy any such items, I also dont particular like people wearing real tails for mostly astetic reason, I also dont see why we should impose our views on others and demand other bend to our whims. Im sure theres some of us who believe that we shouldint eat meat, despite that being the nature of our being, but do we see them trying to impose their will on the rest of us? Mostly no.

I really do not like any vocal group trying to impose their will on the rest of us in a way that restricts our freedoms to do things otherwise legal and just. That is why I have never supported banning any particular thing or person from any convention just because their percieved as bad, I have to see actual proof that such a thing is bad, thats why I have always lobbied for the least restrictive polices needed to achieve the desired effect.

PS: Damn people are easily squicked.
