dis be a rl post
So :| Bridgeport fired their BOE and superintendent so I'm sitting here currently not working which is frankly driving me fucking bonkers. See when I'm not working, I don't do anything. i just sit around all day like :| i have legit not opened a fucking word doc to write ANYTHING since early September. I am still going to school, which is helping a little and me and the father had a nice long sit down on.... Thursday? Where he basically was like YOU AREN'T GONNA GO OFF THE DEEP END AGAIN ARE YOU /side eyes and then after being assured I wasn't going to either run off to SF or something we talked about work and what the hell i am going to do with this Masters I'll hopefully be receiving next spring.
I've basically decided that I love teaching, I do. But I can't see myself in the classroom for the rest of my life. I'm much more interested in working to see how kids learn and I'm not so worried about the what kids are learning. I'm curious about if technology helps or hinders younger children and it hinders them, why and what can we do to either alleviate that or is it just a lost cause. For the reference, I don't think it's a lost cause but that's neither here nor there. So we talked a lot and basically were like WELL I LIKE ANALYZING. THIS IS UNSURPRISING. NOW HOW DO I GET A JOB DOING THIS SHIT :| Which led to talks of doctorates and where I would go to pursue said higher degree. I like Columbia, and I def like Teachers' College but I'm open to other schools. I'll be looking around and then probably pick one and apply only to that one and have no one know that I am applying until I call them and are like OH SHIT I GOT ACCEPTED. That's how it worked for grad school so I mean, tried and tested theory. /shrug
In other news, going to Columbus next weekend \o// Will get to see my cousin and my uncle and aunt which is cool~
Oh. And. Yeah. Supernatural. :| Fucking. Eats. My. Soul. God :| I started watching it from season 1 sometime in late September for something to do and then it just exploded. But I got Ela to join me and now we watch the show together~ Which is lots of fun considering we are 3,000 miles away and therefore confined to MSN and just caps locking at each other while we watch the same episode, but hey it's the 21st century I think it's kinda interesting and it's a blast even if when Zach watches with me I have to pause it every 5 mins to capslock at Ela about something or other. But he doesn't care cause he's just watching cause it's on.
And yeah.... that's about everything. :)
