Introducing His Tinyness ... Mouse!
Hello Mousey!
This is our new kitten. He's a Singapura, which is the smallest breed of cat and he is just adorable! James and I had been meaning to get another cat for awhile, and the cousins paid for part of him as part of their wedding present. =D Plus it will be good for Kyoto to have company while we're on our honeymoon and possibly in the US next year as well.
I've wanted a Singapura for aaaages! At least 4 years I think! They're very affectionate and snuggly cats (which I like!) but also stay playful and kittenish for the rest of their lives (which James likes!) Plus I think they're such a gorgeous breed of cat.
The other day Mouse was standing on James' shoulder while James was playing WoW, and I could see him starting to nod off. He was still upright but starting to kind of ... sway. Sometimes the swaying would wake him up but eventually he swayed so hard he fell off James' shoulder. It was OK because he only fell to the back of the computer chair - but it was cute!

Having his eyes cleaned (actually, aspersions on his cleanliness in general - Mouse hit Kyoto when Kyoto tried to clean him)
He and Kyoto SEEM to be getting along okay. They like to run around together but sometimes there's hitting. I think it must be play-hitting though, because if Kyoto wanted to hurt Mouse he could easily do it since he's like 4x his size. Early on we used to stop the fighting because Mouse would cry when Kyoto gripped him on the back of the neck. But afterwards he'd just shake himself off and keep playing. Then we figured out that he was instigating most of the fights so we just left them to their own devices. I don't want Mouse growing up to be one of those sooky la las who can dish it out but can't take it.
Aww Mousey just crawled into my lap and fell asleep. =)
