There's good things and bad things and things in between. I have no idea where to start so I guess just dive in right?

Lets start with the inbetween:

I'm working and there's a new guy here. He's shaking many trees. That's a good thing I believe, but of course it's balanced out with a bad. It's made me realize how very apathetic I am about my job and my department. How I've let my skills erode because of the atmosphere here. We dont use the features of our software to save time because someone in this department doesnt understand them. I get to listen to the bitching that ensues whenever something does have those features crosses the desk. Anyway, so the FNG (Fuggin new guy for those not in the know) is a mover and shaker and we've taken to heading out for happy hour after work. He's told me several times, when he gets established elsewhere, I better be ready to move cuz he's calling for me. We work well together. He calls me his Right Hand Man, and even pulled me into meetings and addressed me as that to the rest of the upper echelon here at work. I must say it's a breath of fresh air and nice for someone to acknowledge your skill set infront of people that actually matter here.

The bad: They nerfed the fuck out of my class on EQ2. Yea yea, I know, there's life outside of video games, but still, I've spent many hours playing her and finally got this character up to level 60 and end content able. SOE comes along and pulls the rug right out from under me. I will continue to play her, but I will need that re-adjustment period to figure out what I need to do to get her back to some sort of useable class dps wise. In the mean time, I may be taking a few weeks off from EQ2 to let the dust settle as of right now, she cant solo a light blue double down mob (almost like soloing a green in eq1 for those who have played EQ1)

I havent played WoW past the beta which was soooo damn laggy I gave up on it. Since the new expansion is coming for that RPG, I just might think about picking up the game until EQ2 gets their shit together. I just have no idea which server, what type of character, or what side I'd want to play on. I'm not the sort who needs her hand held, just I dont know much about it on the whole. I just wonder if they have the 30 days free thing that Sony has for their games. I would try it out then for sure. I just know the type of character I like to play is melee, non healer, non-caster as I think I do best in a rogue/monk type situation. Ranger on EQ2 was perfect as it was everything that EQ1 rangers were missing, however they have been gimped worse then they were pre LU-13 and back then they were kinda crappy. Anyhow, I just wish they would allow me to respec. I attuned my selections based on what I was.. not what they would nerf me into. Stupid sony. I think I just need a vacation from EQ2 and Ill be fine and dandy.

The Good: Proud as ever about my Brother: He's made the VT Dean's list In fact, I think he did it with a 3.70 GPA for the first semester. I'm EXTREMELY proud of him. He's done so well, that he's been allowed to declare his major's specialty. He's chosen Civil Engineering and his internship with Whiting-Turner is secured for this summer. He's secured his apartment and roomates for next year. :) All very much on the ball. Now that's responsibilty. I'm proud of him mostly because I know I never had my shit that together back when I was 18 years old. In fact, I feel like I barely have it together now.

My older, younger brother is doing equally well. He's gotten his internship secured, he's got a really nice girlfriend and all around he's a happy guy. It must be serious because he's actually brought her home to visit us. She's pretty, she's nice and she can get silly just like us. She fits in well with us. That makes me very proud of him as well. He's a good guy and I think he treats his girl like she's gold. His car is running like shit and I wish I could buy him a new one as I really, truly believe he deserves one. We'll see I guess.

I'm still up in the air about what I want to take in school, and add another wrench on that pile, I've added another possibility to the mix. Dental Hygene. That is a 2 year associates, and yet the average salary for this area is 72k a year. Starting salary can net at least 62k a year. Nice cash for sure. That's double what I'm making now. And i can have it in 2 years. Another bonus is you can pretty much set your own hours with that kind pay.
