It feels SO WRONG to have a Christmas without Yuletide. I mean, obviously there is still very much a Yuletide, and I will pick my way through its offerings at some point, but this is the first year ever I did not participate, and it's WEIRD. Well, such is 2020.
I have an Old Guard big bang fic that I desperately need to finish by next week (...oh god...), but I did take a break from frantically working on that to write a TOG gift exchange fic instead, because everything is Old Guard for me right now and nothing hurts. Plus, I got to get back on my usual Oscar Wilde bullshit, because if a fandom can in any way canonically veer late Victorian era, I will somehow work gross indecency into it.
Happy holidays, y'all. We've almost made it through this shitshow of a year. <3

Summary: Nicky had not felt that particular flavor of guilt himself in many centuries, nor ever would again, but he recognized it like a blade to the heart. "Oh, Joe," he said softly. "They're all like us."
Nicky, Joe, and a very crowded ferry on what should have been an unremarkable evening in April 1895.
