BUCKY BUCKY BUCKY BUCKY BUCKY BUCKY AND STEEEEEEEEEEVE!!!
I had been spoiled for the fact that Bucky was in a post-credits scene; that was what decided me on seeing the movie when I was contemplating saving it for netflix/dvd rental because I was mad about the fridging of Janet and just generally not interested. Even spoiled, it was still really exciting to see Bucky and Steve and Sam all in the same room.
As for the rest of the movie, well, let's just say I'm glad I went in with low expectations. I liked the scenes with Sam (whose presence was a total surprise to me!) and Peggy. Michael Peña's character was a highlight; I like that in addition to being a comedic, smoothie machine-stealing criminal he's into "high culture" stuff like wine tasting and art. And I too noticed the family of African American extras and was pleased by that small touch. I appreciated the brief Spider-man reference. I laughed a few times and was moderately entertained.
But I hate hate hate the trope of a female character who is badass but primarily exists in a film to train a male character to be more badass at the things she's been doing for years. And then the film had Scott and Hope inexplicably start making out despite (in my opinion) absolutely no chemistry? Ugh. The first post credits scene was way too little too late for me. I have other complaints both major and minor that I won't get into here, but this is definitely my least favorite film in the MCU.
