Ok, my phone is dumb, and lj won't let me go back and edit that comment or reply to it?

Anyhow, what I was trying to say before my phone so rudely posted as I was trying to backspace, was that I don't think that everyone would hear about You'd place being blown up, and him possibly dead and just not have *anyone* show up. I'm pretty sure this is the first one where there hasn't been a SHIELD presence... Coulson needed to be there to give Pepper a hug, and be his quietly competent amazing sled, or Natasha would have shown up and been all, "You know Tony and I haven't gotten along the best, but we'll find the Mandarin and make him pay." And then walk off and kick some serious ass.

Oh well, logistics and practically and all that jazz. Good movie was good.

And how amazing was Pepper? SO FUCKING AWESOME!!! :D :D :D

I agree with pretty much everything you have to say about this movie. After deliberating as I watched, I came to the same conclusion that Maya and Pepper's conversation counts as a Bechdel pass. Hooray! I thought the Mandarin misdirect was brilliant. Tony's interactions with children were 112% perfect. (I was amused that Tony shares with Eleven a tendency to impose on the hospitality of kids home alone and demand to be fed.)

I was SO HAPPY that Tony and Pepper were still together at the end of the movie. I was worried the film was going to decide it would be more dramatic to have Pepper say that she just can't take it anymore, but I really like them as a couple. While Tony being Tony means that there will always be problems, their relationship does work remarkably well. ♥

I wished there had been more appearances or at least references to the whereabouts of the rest of the team (your headcanon is excellent), but the scene with Bruce was glorious.
