Sometimes vids take me forever to finish (see: my WIP folder). Sometimes I can only add on a couple of seconds for each time I open up the file, then have to walk away again for weeks on end. And sometimes they flow ridiculously quickly. But no matter how they work, I always edit constantly as I go along -- my approach to writing is much the same. Sometimes just tweaks or quick substitutes, sometimes I pull out a larger chunk and reedit the clips, but the overall framework doesn't change much.
So this is the first time I've gotten to the end of a vid, saved it as a separate draft, and then went back to the beginning and ripped the whole bloody thing apart.
Re-vidding an entire song? Is kind of frustrating for me. On the other hand, hopefully this second complete draft actually, y'know, tells a coherent story. Unlike the first, which flowed really well from clip to clip but didn't have any kind of overarching theme or plot.
Memo to self: when trying to condense a 60-episode-long plot into under four minutes, figure out what your focus is BEFORE you start the vid. Because GODDAMN.
