WHAT.
I'm sorry, WHAT.
This is not in response to the episode as a whole. This is in response to Dee. WHAT. DOES NOT COMPUTE.
Actually, it does make sense, in a really morbid way.
And so Ellen is the final Cylon, then, as so many have predicted? Or is that a MASSIVE red herring? I had odds on Dee going for a while there in that episode, even after her suicide. I definitely don't think it's Kara -- she's Aurora, not a Cylon. Don't ask me how that makes sense in my frakked-up head, but it does.
Ah, BSG. One thing you can always count on with this show: things are never so bad that they can't get worse. Which of our favorite characters will have a mental breakdown and shoot themselves next time? It's like Russian roulette!
...I still do kinda love this show, though.
ETA: Nope,
apparently not a red herring. Ellen? Really? I'd have preferred someone with a bit more punch to the revelation. But hey, I've been holding out for Zak Adama for ages.
The more I think about it, the more I like it, though. Reading that article I linked to helped. And the more I think about it, the more I wonder if Kara is a sort of Cylon-as-God. Twelve tribes of Kobol, but there was a thirteenth! Twelve Cylon models...there may well be a thirteenth.
Also, having the entire population of the thirteenth tribe -- of EARTH -- actually be Cylons? That's just AWESOME.
