yuletide is love. Oh bliss. I've read all the fics in all the fandoms I'd requested -- the fic written for me was lovely, especially considering my ridiculous lack of specificity, and there are some other good ones in that fandom, and then SEVERAL joyous fics of a QAF UK persuasion, which totally made my night. I hope my recipient likes the fic I wrote her -- I was rather pleased with the way it turned out, not because it's particularly brilliant, but because I do think I managed to capture the tone and writing style of the source material reasonably well. And I should probably go to sleep now, and put off further browsing for tomorrow or whenever. But it's looking to be a happy Christmas, indeed. Plus, the family gathering this year is blessedly small -- only ten of us at any given meal, all told, which for my father's family is TINY. Granted, Chanukah with my mother's family consists of just my parents, grandfather, and myself, but that's normal. Just ten people with the Episcopalian side of the family is absurdly small.
So, yes. Happy holidays.
