So, I've been biking to and from most of my classes every day, which always involves swerving to avoid pedestrians and cars. I've had several near misses, and people often have to jump to get out of my way, throwing dirty glances as I pass. Every time this happens, I think, "Crap, I'm gonna hit somebody one of these days."
Heh.
Okay, so I didn't hit anyone. I was biking from Frasier (the music building) back to Wiebking (my dorm) on the sidewalk, and there was a huge crowd of people in front of me because the bus had just arrived. They were taking up the whole sidewalk, so I biked into the grass to get around them. Everything went fine until I tried to get back onto the sidewalk. I hit the curb at *just* the wrong angle and suddenly I found myself literally spread-eagled on the pavement, my backpack half crushing me. And yes, this was in front of a whole crowd of people. A few girls gasped and came up to help me. I wasn't hurt at all, just embarrassed.
I can ride a bike, really.
