(no subject)
I'm calling in sick today. I have guilt, being the day after a holiday and the day after the Rose Bowl, which I attended with my teller supervisor, but there's no way. I didn't sleep all night, I have a fever, and I can't breathe or stop coughing. Bleh.
I just realized that I saw a lot of movies in 2007. Also, it wasn't a bad year.
2007 Highlights
JANUARY: Was sick. Had my first ever strawberry milkshake. Watched Sorority Boys for the first time. Gina visited! It snowed in Malibu. Saw Freedom Writers and Children of Men. Was rear-ended going 65 mph in morning rush-hour traffic, but luckily no damage.
FEBRUARY: Watched the Chicago Bears lose the Superbowl. Had work done on my car. Attempted to attend a taping of the Ellen show, and got stuck in the Riff Raff Room. Went on a date. Saw Because I Said So. Helped film A Long Apology in a big, dirty warehouse in a scary part of town.
MARCH: Performed a version of the Brady Bunch theme song at a dinner with all the offices in my region. Saw Wild Hogs and Premonition. Changed my own headlight! Actually did see the Ellen show film (with Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon!). Got the Eye Plague. Went camping at Joshua Tree where it was freezing and there were coyotes.
APRIL: Saw Blades of Glory. beatlejessie visited. Went to Disneyland. Saw Wicked. Went to R's karaoke birthday party.
MAY: Saw Spider-Man 3, The Ex, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and *finally* saw Kickin' It Old Skool, after several failed attempts. Went to Disneyland. Locked my keys in my car at the gas station.
JUNE: Saw Knocked Up. Went to my very first Dodgers game. Went back to Champaign for S and C's wedding. Went to HAWAII with the family! Kayaked and snorkeled with sea turtles. Socool! Attended a luau, walked on the molten remains of the last lava flow, stargazed from atop a volcano...
JULY: Went on a few more dates. Saw Ratatouille, Hairspray, and Transformers. Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The Eye Plague continued. Went to a release party for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which I then spent the entire weekend reading. Went to Comic-Con where I saw some excellent panels (Supernatural and Smallville among them), and ran into and/or met some pretty wonderful people.
AUGUST: Mom visited! J and V's Baby J was born. Went to the company picnic in Malibu, where I helped build a sand castle in a sand castle building contest. Toured Paramount with Mom. Saw Superbad, and possibly ran into Michael Cera at Trader Joe's. Started my first graphic design class at Moorpark College. Went to see one of my tellers in Bye-Bye, Birdie. Had more work done on my Malibu. Went to a screening of The Nines; met Melissa McCarthy.
SEPTEMBER: Had a heat wave. Stupid woman broke my camera. Researched cars. Had a Pampered Chef party. My sister, Jess, visited.
OCTOBER: Went to Disneyland with Jess. Bought my new CRV. Saw Avenue Q again. Saw the Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D Sing-Along. Saw We Own the Night. Walked in AIDS Walk. Watched Southern California burn. Went to a Firefly convention.
NOVEMBER: Friends T and D visited. Went to Thanksgiving in San Diego with Gen's family. Got the Eye Plague again. Had Family Thanksgiving with all the past and present roommates. Got my very first November Christmas tree. Turned twenty-seven (golden birthday!). Saw Dan in Real Life and Enchanted.
DECEMBER: Flew home to surprise Grandma and Grandpa; helped with their move to the House Next-Door. Got to see the Wisconsin cousins. Went to the Disneyland cast Christmas party with D. The Eye Plague continued. Saw August Rush, National Treasure, and Juno. Was audited with no preliminary findings (still pretty excited about that). Flew home for Christmas. Got sick.
