school days...
I love my new place! well...i don't love Everything about it but in general, i love it. the building isn't great but my apartment is really spacious and i got it looking pretty cute. i love love love the privacy that i have. i think i've been in my underwear 80% of the time that i've lived here. when i get bored i just clean and unpack a little more. i decided on the cheapest cable because the other ones were way to expensive so i am missing my health channel, comedy channel, cartoon network, lifetime and mtv. it's sad how much that sentence actually made me miss it more! i have my aquarium set up with my surviving fish and a new pet, patrick the cat. he was my old neighbors cat and she never took care of him. she went on vacation leaving him outside and he's de-clawed and was hungry so i took care of him for a few days and got attached. she gave him to me without saying bye to him. it's a little sad but he's doing great. he's a really friendly cat and has never done that hissing thing that cats do and is totally creepy.
kelly and jay's wedding couldn't have gone better. it was a little stressful with the rain situation but it turned out to have worked in our favor. i can't wait to see the pictures we took after the wedding at eden park. being a bridesmaid was an honor and a lot of fun. i just now got rid of the fake nails...i couldn't handle them anymore! i loved getting my hair done and everything....even more than for prom! i'm so glad vanessa made it here. i hadn't seen her in a while and it's always great to get to. i'm definitely going to be visiting her in her new place in new mexico sometime. all my friends having real jobs and getting married is starting to make me feel old! i know i'm not but i feel like everyone is so far ahead of me. my semester started monday and even though it's a little overwhelming with all the projects i'm really glad about it. i can't wait to get done and i know an end is coming!! someday i'll have a real job and be able to pay off ALL my loans and other money I owe. Today was great because i was able to get a class i'm in waived due to all my wonderful years of piano lessons. it's a music class for teachers that basically teacher the piano and ways to incorporate music in the classroom. seeing as i've played the piano since i was 5 and have teaching experience i was able to get out of it. i'm stoaked about getting out of the boring class but more so because all those years of dreadful piano lessons were good for something!
i still like my job at redwood. since i'm only working a few days a week now they made me a sub so i get to go to other rooms. i'll be in the nursury whenever i can since i know the babies pretty well. i've gotten attached to a lot of the babies and miss them when i'm not there for a while. we got a few new ones who have more serious medical problems. it's a little sad but they are adorable and for the most part really happy.
i'm off to play with patrick a bit before sleeping.

ps...i got my tattoo finished. the sunset in the backgroud is OK. it doesn't look as realistic as i wanted but i do like it better with color. i may go back someday to get it looking a little more how i wanted but overall i am very happy with it. i was much more brave this time as well! i didn't yell stop it or cuss words once!!
