summer!
I haven't updated in so long! This weekend was my birthday, it was pretty good even though nobody really wanted to go out. I had a good dinner and had fun with the three people that did go out to the bar. Saturday I went to this huge pool party. There was a DJ and free food and alcohol. It was sooo packed. We could barely stand in the pool...not that swimming was a good idea since people were bonging beer in it. I got a little tan so I'm happy about that.
My dad's surgery went really well. They removed the cancer from his lung. The cancer was from his kidney like they thought and now he's back to his normal treatment. He's a really strong man...went golfing a week after the surgery and taiwon a month after. Him and my mom are on there way home from florida now. It would've been nice if I got to go for my birthday but whatever!
I got the job I wanted, It's a rehabilitation center for children and adults. I've been working in the nursery with the babies. Most of them are typical but a few are delayed for various reasons like prematurity. Hopefully I'm going to start working with the older kids who have more of a variety of disabilities. I love my job, playing with babies all day is great but the people who work in the nusury aren't so great. The lead in my room is this older lady whose missing half her teeth, never been married or had kids, and is VERY controlling over the people who work in the room. I can barely get a word out a lot of times. I could barely stand her for the first few weeks because apparently she hates new people but now I understand her a little more and know what not to say.
I'm only taking one class this summer and am currently failing it...sweet! I'm over at my friends now waiting for someone to come home and help me because I can NOT retake anymore classes.
I love summer...I hate my room in clifton in the summer. I can't even breathe in there it's so stuffy. The AC is on but it barely makes it to my room. I have two fans blowing constantly on high and still unless i'm sitting directly in front of them...it's hell. I've been bumming at whoever elses house i can. I can't wait to move out! I've been shopping for my new place already. I got a sweet couch at a garage sale for only $40! It's really big and very comfortable. I think I already have everything i need but some pots and pans. Only one and a half months before i'm living alone!!!~
