F*X*T

Been away a while, and there's a lot of topics I could go on about, but I'm not sure who's around anymore. Most people I know have moved on to Twitter, Tumblr or even resigned themselves to the bowels of Facebook.

While looking up old transcripts, I discovered this old post about a magazine project called F*X*T. I was skeptical, but they did, apparently, create a product. the only problem is... they only produced two issues though it was supposed to be a "quarterly serialized comic and illustration magazine". Even their website hasn't been updated since 2010and Twitter since 2011.

Fawn is probably well intentioned, but so are many who want to start their own small press or anime con, and a lot of those don't get very far.

So while my concerns about the Kickstarter were not completely right, my doubts were not entirely unfounded. The two issues FiXIt did create look nice, but in the end, it didn't last as long as it was supposed to. As much as supporters don't like to hear it, and as much as they think it's pessimistic naysayers, the harsh truth is: running a publishing house (even for one magazine) is not easy.
