So, the BBC did a great article talking about limiting the amount of kids you have for the environment. Eigenadam: weren't we just talking about this?
I thought this was a great perspective and also love the comments posted below the article. I have to say I feel a little guilty writing about this because I have 3 younger sisters and 2 of them would not be alive if this was mandatory, and some of you, dear friends, as well.
However, no one is suggesting we go all China on everyone and impose a one kid limit, but just for everyone to make a conscious effort to think about adding another person to the planet.
There are many factors that go into having kids: emotional reasons, monetary, does it fit into your “plans” and all that. It just makes me think more and more about adoption and how that is such a win win situation.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29257326/ Why oh why do we still have to defend our reproductive rights in 2009?? And why is there always someone who is quoted as saying "I don't agree with abortion as a birth control option". Well, no one I know does either. The people I have known that chose to get abortions, did not make the choice lightly and they didn't use it as birth control! Who are these people that feel the need to impose their "values" and "beliefs" onto other people? What business is it of yours if I do or don't want to have kids?
