I got a letter from the Soc Dept today.
It says I'm on the 2003-2004 Dean's list.
It goes on to say that I should be considering doing my MA or PhD with their department. I don't know whether to cackle with laughter, smirk, or roll my eyes at this. (I'm really against the expectation that everyone's [read: I'm] going to get multiple university degrees.)
Anyway, does anyone know the details of this? I remember hearing about some sort of reception in previous years, where all my smart friends who had declared their majors (unlike me and my unwillingness to commit to a programme) went and got loaded on the university's tab. I guess this is the sort of thing of which I'd be informed though, so perhaps I'm remembering something else.
