AGM batteries for my barn...

Jan 26, 2009 11:02

Well I already have a large battery setup for my UPS's and Inverters on the studio, but yesterday brought home another 1900 ahr 12vdc AGM battery bank for my barn. I earned these storage devices a while back doing drafting, solar design, and IT work for Meridian Energy Systems.

Now I've got to figure out how to get them off my trailer and up to the barn. We loaded the crate with a bobcat forklift, but I have NOTHING like that at my house.

My friend Marcos, has an engine hoist that is heavy duty enough to lift 765 kgs, but not sure what to do after that. Each 2 vdc cell weighs about 385 pounds, so humans moving them are probabley out of the question... and there are 6 of them total.

what in the world to do?

well not my problem today, I'll deal with it tomorrow, as today I need to work on my website and hosting stuff...

but it is kind of cool that I have 6000 ahr of energy storage at my casa...
