Key West, HERE I COME! Just booked a trip with Craig (rather I booked the trip on Craig's credit card) for 5 days, 4 nights in KEY WEST! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! On March 11, we're going to fly into Ft. Lauderdale and rent a Mustang convertible to make the 4 hour drive down the Keys. Oh God, I can't wait. Brian is getting shit-canned with G-ma and I am going to have such a freaking BREAK! Beautiful sun and sand and warm, tropical waters, MMMMMM. I can't wait! It's been so long since I've actually been anywhere besides Vermont. Now I need to bust my ass trying to lose weight. I'm just about the same weight now that I was when I got pregnant, but my SHAPE is totally not the same. I bet I could lose 10 pounds or so and look somewhat decent in a one-piece suit. We'll see... I have to dig out my summer clothes prematurely now.
I'm also back in school which I just LOVE. I'm learning a really lucrative career skill and something that I really think can become my passion. I've met some really sweet girls and made a new friend that I REALLY hit it off with SUPER well. I'm really excited and happy and motivated and it feels so good to have goals and drive again. No more baby brain... Thank GOD.
I can't believe my little boy is 1 already, walking and talking and being the cutest and sweetest toddler in the world. God he is a beautiful boy, EVERYwhere we go, people are always remarking on his beautiful blue eyes. What can I say? He has superior genes. He is smart and handsome and so easy-going and fun. I'm glad that he is surrounded by so many people that love him and good, positive influences. He's going to be my little prodigy.
There are some things looming that I feel a little anxious about, but they're not even worth mentioning... I know that the universe will resolve these things in due time. I just can't wait to blow through school as quickly as I can and start working again. I can't wait to rake in the $$$$ and be able to move on to the next phases of my life - new car, home ownership, marriage, retirement savings, etc. etc.
Trying to go to school and get ahead while caring for a child is not an easy task, but he has given me the structure, motivation, and prioritization that I really needed to get my ass in gear. He's done the same for Craig in terms or parts of his life that he needed to get in order. Life is good, and it is so much more fun with my little guy. So I did some things out of order... so what? I'll still have it all. And then some. :-P
