how do you stand it? i don't think i could

i want to talk about glee before i forget what i want to say.

one word: DISAPPOINTMENT. this episode was depressing. (in different ways.) it was depressing in that it made me cry, especially the end when the club sings "lean on me" to quinn and finn. i shed a tear. and of course the scene with quinn's parents. but more on that later.

the second reason why glee was depressing is this. EXCUSE ME MERCEDES. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND TELLS SOMEONE THAT THEY JUST HAVE TO ROLL OVER AND TAKE THE FACT THAT THEY CAN'T EVEN BE
INVOLVED WITH THEIR OWN KID??! she knows NOTHING about puck and his past. and that's beside the point, anyways. that baby is HALF HIS. suits can be filed over stuff like this.

SO DO NOT SAY THAT QUINN HAS ALL THE POWER AND THAT PUCK SHOULDN'T BE INVOLVED.

and don't apologize, puck. don't sing that song just because mercedes made you feel unjustly bad. JESUS, YOU ARE NOT THE BAD GUY HERE. you are trying to do right by your kid, and you need to stand up for that. don't sing that song if you don't think they deserve it.

i liked mercedes, but she's definitely going to have to do some good shit if she wants to gain my favor back again. you don't mess with my boy. and i don't feel like i'm being too biased, because if this situation were real, would her behavior be acceptable? i don't think so.

and so now, glee writers. i just want to say how utterly disappointed and frustrated i am with how this situation was handled. you went about this ALL WRONG. this was the first point in the episode that i had tears in my eyes, because i was so damn frustrated with the way things were going. rethink this. THIS. WAS. BULLSHIT.

now that that's over, i'd like to say that ironically my favorite part of the episode was the most heartbreaking (other than that rendition of "lean on me", of course). aka, when quinn's parents find out that she's preggers.

now, don't get me wrong. i wasn't all, "ooh, this is cool!" it was my favorite part due to, ironically again, writing. it happened exactly like i wanted it to. i somehow like the drama of the fabrays being so uppity and righteously christian that they'd kick her out of the house. that's exactly who i wanted them to be, for the purpose of drama, and the show definitely delivered on that scene. and quinn got to kick ass with her speech.

one more thing. kurt's a cutie. but kurt/finn? puke. if you're going to throw us a slash bone, i'd like to add kurt/puck for your consideration, obviously. it's so much more complex and just smart. and finn shouldn't get everything, but he does. he's the idiotic golden boy, and it's annoying.

people in charge of glee. STEP IT UP.

glee, bitching
