Even if my friends don't appreciate me, at least random people I've never met do!
My piece (De)composition was chosen as a winner in the AAUW writing contest, so that's exciting. It'll be in an anthology with the rest of the winning pieces, and my family and I get to go to some reception where I have to read it in front of a bunch of people.
I'm also definitely going to Ursinus now! It's $43,000 a year, but they gave me $34,000, which only leaves $9,000. But they also told me that after I do placement testing and all that jazz that I'll probably get an additional $4,750+. So, that's pretty freaking awesome. I cannot wait! I'm actually kind of glad to get out of here and meet new people for once. Even though I know I'm gonna miss my family/friends like hell. But I'm 30 minutes away, so it's not like I'm never going to visit.
Work is getting ridiculous, and it pisses me off. I'm gonna stick around 'til August regardless, but still, UGH. I can deal with people's stupid shit, but I don't need to stick around for an extra 20 minutes calling people in circles because the one guy left without locking the door, and I have no key. THANK YOU, idiot. Seriously.
